My President, Tyrant
Friday, September 21st, 2007Good stuff from Keith Olbermann on the hypocrisy of the president’s jab at MoveOn.org.
The president of the United States is a liar, a coward, a would-be tyrant, and a douchebag. Who knew?

This is so horribly, horribly disgusting and wrong, but it’s so worth it.
I’m not a big fan of Hillary Clinton (though perhaps not for the prevailing reasons), but I sure do like this idea: She and Senator Byrd are going to try to revoke the president’s war powers.
My only question: Why hasn’t somebody fucking done this already?
Borders has an excerpt from Lee Iacocca’s new book, Where Have All the Leaders Gone?. Good stuff. Short version: Bush is a power monger, not a leader.
Olbermann has another spot-on retort, this time to President Bush’s so-called “surge” speech:
My own summary of the speech: “I didn’t make any mistakes, but ambiguous actors will stop the buck in my vicinity—before, during, or after the time when I’m am in that vicinity. Let’s forget that we went to Iraq on utterly fallacious pretenses and pretend that it was ever worth going to war there. Let’s pretend that Iraq’s worth fighting for and endanger even more American lives by sending in a few more expendable soldiers just to give the new government breathing room. Let’s pretend everything I ever said about Iraq never happened. I’m scared the Democrats read more books than I do.”
